This change update liner to the latest release that adds support to
delete the next and the previous word with Alt-d and Alt-BackSpace
plus a small amount of fixes.
Formally define these types and document their meaning.
We will auto-generate the dlv-dap documentation from these Go type doc.
mapToStruct is a helper that sets the given struct's fields with the
info in map[string]interface{} (launch/attach's Arguments). We achieve
this by reencoding map[string]interface{} to json and decoding back to
the target struct. If go-dap left the implementation-specific arguments
as json.RawMessage and let the implementation decode as needed, this
reencoding could've been avoided.
encoding/json itself does not have mean to enforce required fields.
There was a test case that checks substitutePath elements must set
both from/to fields. Path.UnmarshalJSON implements the check.
I am not yet sure about the need for distinction between missing
'from/to' and empty strings yet. (empty value is useful when dealing with
a binary built with trimpath, right?)
A minor behavior change - previously, if noDebug is not a boolean type,
we ignored the attribute silently. Since we use json decoding, any
mismatched types will cause an error and this non-boolean type noDebug
attribute will result in launch failure.
This patch implements fuzzy searching for tab completions in the
terminal client. Under the hood it is using a trie data structure
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trie) to perform very fast prefix / fuzzy
searches.
This removes indirect dependencies from go.mod, and
includes the fix for the missing -help flag info.
The latest cobra release is v1.2.1. Given that there were
minor security-related dependency cleanup during v1.2 release,
I was tempted to pick up the latest version, but that caused
dependency updates in golang.org/x/sys and golang.org/x/tools
which may be too recent (golang.org/x/* follow the go's release
support policy, so recent versions may not be compatible with
go versions beyond go's official version support policy).
Verified that dlv still builds with go1.12.x.
(go1.12 is the oldest version of go that can build the latest delve already).
$ go get -d github.com/spf13/cobra@v1.1.3
$ go mod tidy
$ go mod vendor
$ go run _scripts/gen-usage-docs.go
Instead of rescanning debug_info every time we want to read a function
(either to find inlined calls or its variables) cache the tree of
dwarf.Entry that we would generate and use that.

Updates #1549
* Panic guard for DAP request handling
* Use GetSeq
* Re-vendor new version of go-dap
* Remove comment
* Update error message
* Reuse er.Message in Format
We forgot to run typecheckrpc.go periodically and it didn't work
anymore and there were some minor errors in service/rpc2/client.go.
Rewrite typecheckrpc.go using go/packages, so that it works with go1.11
and go.mod, and fix the issues in client.go
* command/terminal: allow restart to change process args
Add -args flag to "restart" command. For example, "restart -args a b c" will
pass args a b c to the new process.
Add "-c" flag to pass the checkpoint name. This is needed to disambiguate the
checkpoint name and arglist.
Reverted unnecessary changes.
* Applied reviewer comments.
Vendored argv.
Change the syntax of restart. When the target is is in recording mode, it always
interprets the args as a checkpoint. Otherwise, it interprets the args as
commandline args. The flag "-args" is still there, to handle the case in which
the user wants to pass an empty args on restart.
* Add restartargs.go.
Change "restart -args" to "restart -noargs" to clarify that this flag is used to
start a process with an empty arg.
* pkg/proc: use golang.org/x/arch/x86/x86asm
instead of rsc.io/x86/x86asm
* pkg/dwarf: migrate to github.com/pkg/profile
from github.com/davecheney/profile
* scripts: keep script go files from being considered for the build
scripts/gen-*.go files are scripts for generating documentation
files and don't follow the typical Go package layout. Expected
usage is like
go run scripts/gen-cli-docs.go
* vendor: update vendored packages
There were many changes in delve, and go tool chains since last
vendored package update. I just rerun godpes from scratch.
$ rm vendor/*
$ rm Godeps/Godeps.json
$ go list ./... | grep -v /vendor/ | grep -v /scripts/ | go get -u -t
$ go get -u github.com/mattn/go-colorable
$ go get -u github.com/mattn/go-isatty
$ go list ./... | grep -v /vendor/ | grep -v /scripts/ | godeps save
Use godeps to vendor dependencies and the normal go toolchain, with
GO15VENDOREXPERIMENT=1 set to properly vendor dependencies for reproducible
builds.
